The goal of our project is to provide a resource of local information with a friendly and easy to use interface. We plan to use the Google maps API to create a familiar interface and link it to a database of information. Based off a location search you will be able to have an area search of several different subjects
Some examples include:

• Waste Dumps
• Recycling centers
• Grocery Stores
• Drug Stores
• Emergency Information
• Hosptials
• Gas Stations
• Bus Stops
• Etc.

There will also be an interface for official non-technical users to add information in an easy way.  We are planning on using asp.net and Microsoft SQL database technology along with the Google Maps API for this project.  This will allow the use of membership and roles for: Anonymous users, Registered Users, and Administration accounts.  It will also let the user set a start location to be saved whenever logging on the site.
